RBC
The RBC Aboriginal Student Awards Program was launched in 1992 to assist Aboriginal students to complete post secondary education, and provide an opportunity for RBC to strengthen its relationship with the Aboriginal community.
This scholarship is intended to support those Aboriginal students who have at least 2 years remaining in their current academic program.
Scholarship recipients are selected primarily on the basis of personal and academic achievements, and individual financial need. Status
Indians, Non-status Indians, Inuit and Mtis are welcome to apply. Selected students will receive up to $4,000 per academic year for educational and living expenses for 2 to 4 years.

The following ten Aboriginal students from across Canada have been awarded scholarships by RBC this year. As winners of the RBC Aboriginal Student Awards Program (ASAP), each of these students will receive $4,000 annually for their tuition and other education expenses. Since the launch of the RBC Aboriginal Student Awards Program in 1992, $1 million dollars has been awarded to 98 students in Aboriginal communities across Canada.

Community Economic and Social Development (CESD) is a four year interdisciplinary degree program that includes courses from Sociology, Economics, Social Welfare, Political Science, Business Admin, Geography and others. It also has a series of compulsory courses in CESD which explore community processes and draw the disciplines together. CESD promotes the growth of more sustainable communities, economically, ecologically, socially, and culturally.
